Hello! My name is Ms. Martin and I am thrilled to teach 7th-grade English Language Arts at Booker T. Washington Middle School another school year! I enjoy encouraging developing minds to discover advancements in their mission of learning and becoming great leaders.
As a splendid product of the Department of Defense Dependent Schools, I grew up on military bases across America and Europe. While studying for my undergrad degree, I held several leadership positions on and off-campus, yet my work as a substitute teacher in the Clayton County Public School System in GA sparked my joy of teaching. Upon moving to Mobile, AL in 2003, I worked in two local hospitals for several years, even in a busy emergency department (E.D.) with a dynamic team.
I obtained my Master of Education (M. Ed.) in Secondary English Language Arts from the University of South Alabama in 2016 and have been an educator in the MCPSS ever since.
